Good lordy – the haze is so bad these days, I’ve not just lost my appetite, but also my sense of smell and possibly my will to live. I’m serious – you have no idea how awesome fresh air smells until you’ve experienced the haze that’s enveloping our little island right now. Anyhoos, since I’ve more or less given up the will to apply makeup (that, and plus the face mask blocks out majority of your face save for the eyes), here’s an item that I’ve been missing sorely – a lip product. Dear powers above, please get rid of the haze so I can have the will to bother applying makeup againnnnn.

True to its name – yes it tints!

The Packaging:  It’s a fuss-free little fat tube with a screw-open cap that has the soft sponged-tip applicator attached to it. I know it’s rather frivolous, but I do like the clear plastic stem. Don’t ask me why, I just do. Heh. The applicator has a fancy name though – Water sliding applicator – and is tapered at the tip to allow you relatively precise drawing of the cupid’s bow, and fat at the middle portion to scoop up enough colour as well as apply it to the lips in one swipe.

The Scent: An absolutely deliciously fruity scent.

The Taste: Oh yes, I now have a new sub-segment for this. This Vivid Tint Rouge actually tastes yummeh! It’s kinda fruity-sweet, slightly cherry-berryish on lips, and I can’t help but tentatively lick my lips to test if the taste is still there every now and then.

The Application/Finish: Well, it’s rather idiot-proof. Simply apply it onto the lips and you’ll get a very vivid and glossy lip tint that isn’t sticky (yay!) nor greasy (double yay!). You can get a full coloured lip with a normal application, or simply dab a few times in the centre of the lips to get a gradient ombre lip. Note that the colours you see in the tube / on the applicator aren’t the exact colour you’ll get on your lips though – the actual applied colour is more intense.

The Verdict: I have frivolously come up with a nickname for this – I’d call this the Boyfriend Lippie. It stays on your lips (mostly, and after you let it set for at least a few minutes – I mean, nobody would swipe and smooch right?). It has no greasy/sticky afterfeel, so he’s not gonna complain. The colour stays vibrant for a rather long time, so you can always maintain your goddess-like cherry lips in front of him. What’s more, cos it’s not the typical creamy or matte lipstick, it doesn’t really sink into the fine lines of the lips. After it fades or wears out, all you’ll get is a rosier-than-normal lip (sans any telltale signs that you’ve even applied makeup in the first place). Oh, and most importantly, it tastes yummeh~! (disclaimer: only if your man likes sweet stuff). That aside, I’m pretty impressed with this tint (which is rather similar to The Face Shop Lipquid one that I’ve been lugging around).
