It’s small, squidgy and bright orange. What is it?
No it’s not an orange stress ball although it probably could be used as one. It is the new Miracle Complexion Sponge from Real Techniques and it definitely makes applying your foundation a hassle free affair.
The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is the latest addition to the Real Techniques stable of makeup application tools. Like the rest of the fabulous products in the Real Techniques range, the Miracle Complexion Sponge was designed by Youtube Guru & beauty expert Samantha Chapman.
You may ask ‘What is so special about the Miracle Complexion Sponge? Well, firstly it is part of the Real Techniques range, and if you are a Real Techniques fan you know the standard and quality of their beauty products.
Secondly, the unique design of this sponge means it beats all other sponges hands down in our eyes for makeup application. The simple addition of an extra surface to the sponge means it offers everything you need to achieve a flawless base.
The large curved surface is perfect for rolling, patting, & blending product onto your skin so you can customize your coverage.
The pointed tip allows you to accurately cover imperfections and apply foundation and concealer around nose and chin area while the flat surface is great for patting and blending product onto the flatter areas of your face like your forehead or the under eye area.
Thirdly, the price! The Miracle Complexion Sponge offers a premium quality sponge but at a fraction of the price of other brands.
Before you use the Miracle Complexion Sponge, immerse it in water and gently squeeze it, allowing it to absorb the water and increase to approximately double its size (see image on right).
Then remove the sponge from the water and squeeze out any excess water. Use a towel or a paper towel to gently squeeze the sponge again to get rid of any excess water. You want the sponge to be slightly damp, rather than wet.
There is now enough liquid in it so that it does not absorb your lovely foundation.
Tip: Apply foundation directly onto your skin & begin dabbing with the sponge to blend it.
If you use a cream blusher then you can also apply this with your sponge.
